The company has designed and developed powerful cobalt-free batteries and electric propulsion systems with the aim of delivering a superior boating experience - for the benefit of the climate and the users. The past 4 years the company has tested electric sailing with efficient energy and hydrogeneration along the way, so that energy independence is achieved and there is always power on board.
The company is a spin off from electric car development where one of the founders presented an electric car at COP15 in 2009.

The goal
The goal is to disrupt the common practices of sail boating by enabling a zero emission, state-of-the-art technology for retrofitting and new boats, that outperforms standard diesel motors. The goal is a completely new sailing experience where hardware and software integrate to new levels not seen at sea.
Purpose of the company
“Sustainable sailing for all”
The situation
Currently, it is most common for sailboats to make use of a built-in diesel motor when sails cannot be used, mainly when sailing in ports and in windless conditions. Apart from being noisy, diesel motors pollute and often have trouble starting. Thus, diesel motors are inconvenient for the sailor, a nuisance for nearby people, a significant source of emission and a danger for local marine ecosystems. With around 6 million boats in EU alone, there is a huge opportunity for improvement through a transition to battery-driven motors. Furthermore, electrically powered sailboats will rise in demand as regulations change to protect the environment; for example, the authorities in Amsterdam have decreed those boats with diesel engines will be banned from operating on the city's canals by 2025
Market perspectives
There are over 35 million leisure and commercial boats in the world, and less than 1% have electric propulsion or other sustainable solution.
EU and US agreed CO2 reduction of 55% / 50% in 2030.
The electric propulsion market is estimated to grow to 15,6 billion in 2030 (source: reseachandmarkets.com Nov/2019).
The team
The company is founded by a Software Engineer and lithium battery specialist who has previous experience developing electric vehicles, and a Business Developer with a background in the financial sector. The team holds the technical expertise and the business development skills needed to take our innovative product from its current state to market.
Finance
The company has received app. DKK 2 million in soft funding (from Innovationsfonden, DTU, Erhvervsfremmebestyrelsen and others), and are now looking to raise 3-10 million DKK to scale development, production and push go-to-market date forward.
Status
We will be pitching for investment in EU/Blue Invest community late October and are invited for more alike events.
We have just turned down a potential investor and have strict criteria that all investors must have ethics, moral and sustainability as core.
We have potential candidates ready to hire as soon as more funding is secured.
