Introduction to SPRINGBOARD®

Cluster, or ”suicide” headache consists of often daily attacks of extreme pain, often also at night. Due to the lack of suitable long-term effective treatments, this affects the patients quality of life and takes away all freedom. Therefore, the startup is developing a non-invasive neuromodulation wearable for the prevention of CH attacks. They have a functional prototype and funding until Jan 2025.

For this SPRINGBOARD®, panelists with competencies/experience within these themes, are needed for sparring (prioritised):

                                            1. We have identified the UK as a relevant beach head market due to reimbursement for neuromodulation and trends in at home wearables and non-pharmaceutical solutions. Which other markets could be relevant for us and how can we identify and access them?

                                            2. As a team without a CTO in the team, how can we ensure that our product development partners always have our best interest in mind?

                                            3. How can we ensure already in our prototyping phase that the device is designed for manufacturing? How early in the process do we need to pay attention to this?

Attacks can occur up to 8 times per day and last up to 3 hours, hence affecting all areas of life including family, career and life plans.

                                                  98% of people living with cluster headache also have attacks at night – making normal sleep impossible.
