Introduction to SPRINGBOARD®
The startup upcycle sidestreams from food production to replace conventional wood fibers. By detaching packaging from forestry, the startup is revolutionizing the next generation of packaging with eco-friendly solutions, unmatched in sustainability.
Currently, the startup has produced early-stage proof of concept for converting their leftover fibers into a durable material fit for creating boxes.
Together with Teknologisk Institut the startup is drafting a collaboration project that will support the further development of their technology into a functional prototype & MVP fit for customer pilot projects.

The solution
We are bridging the gap towards a regenerative future, by introducing the worlds first reusable & completely customizable transportation & storage box, made from leftovers in food production
USP’s
Responsible sourcing
Reducing emissions
Complete customization
The business model
The startup plans to sell their boxes directly to B2B customers and engage in a closed loop recycling system with their customers. This means that companies will be able to replace any broken boxes with new ones by returning the damaged boxes, where the startup can recycle these into new packaging boxes.
At end of life, the fibers can be channeled into biogas production, ensuring continuous cycling and value creation in adjacent verticals.
Revenue model
To complement their closed loop B2B model, the startup will implement a subscription-based solution. Based on a fixed monthly price/box, customers can replace their broken boxes free of charge.
Team
A – CEO with a background in biochemistry and hardware development at a Danish biotech SMV called Samplix. Here, he worked with bringing the droplet sorting machine Xdrop Sort from early alpha to first pilot projects.
B – CTO with a background in mechanical engineering and sustainable packaging using alternative fibers. B has previously worked at the Danish Startup Coastgrass, where he made packaging by combining fibers from eelgrass with bioplastics.
